Industrial Roller Shutter Doors
Roller shutter doors are designed to suit industrial premises. Generally constructed from 75mm concave galvanised lathe, with an option for plastisol and powder coating, size range from 9 to 60 metres squared.
Standard Roller Shutter doors are designed to accept basic wind speeds up to and including 73mph (hurricane on Beaufort Scale) using wind speed factors S1=1, S2 – 0.74 + S3 =1 as defined in DOE Codes of Practice CP3 Chapter S1 part 2:1972, based on a totally enclosed structure.
Electrical operation is by means of high quality three phase safe drive motor and gearbox with digital limits. The safe drive operator prevents the uncontrolled drop of the shutter curtain. All control panels are low voltage and have open, close and emergency stop buttons as standard. Emergency manual override is provided to allow operation of the motor in the event of power failure.
Our roller shutter doors can be supplied with safety edges and photocells if automatic (impulse) close is required. All safety systems comply with the current machinery directive standards.

Static & sliding grilles
The sliding grille system comprises a series of pre-galvanised and powder coated rolled steel sections interlinked by steel bars on free-moving steel bushes, to create a steel grid or trellis. The gate is top hung from a rolled steel carrier on nylon coated maintenance free steel bearings, and secured at the bottom in a steel T-section bottom track. The system can be easily fitted to the face or reveal of a window or door aperture, and can be specified in single-sash or double-sash configurations. Single-sash versions stack either right or left of the opening as required. In double-sash format, the gates stack equally on each side when open, and may, as an option, be hinged to swing at 90° or 180° to the opening. The bottom steel track can also be hinged to stand alongside the stacked gates, in this case below a U-section track is used.
